lol the easiest way to solve this problem is to randomly guess your base startin from base 2 and working your way up (which in this case 2 is the correct answer), but if the porblem was any different, you would have to use math with different bases. for example, we do math in base 10, which means that 314159 is equal to 3*10^5 + 1*10^4 + 4*10^3 + 1*10^2 + 5*10^1 + 9*10^0. if the base is unknown, just simply use vriables, and then solve the polynomial expression. Luckily for us, the equation is extremely easy. the equation ends up being: (1*x^0) + (1*x^0) = (1*x^1 + 0*x^0) (1) + (1) = (x) x=2 this means that the equation: 1 + 1 = 10 was written in base 2, AKA binary.
