5 Times 2 = 7?

Using only basic arithmetic operations make 7 out of five '2's.

2    2    2    2    2 = 7

You can use '+', '-', 'x', or '÷' between the '2's.

you cant use parenthesis,, you should solve it directly,, the right answer is

2÷2+2+2+2 = 7

MDAS Rule!! Multiply first then Divide then add the Subtract

It doesn't say there has to be an operator between every number. In that case an alternative solution is 22 / 2 - 2 - 2 = 7.

22/2 = 11. Minus 2 = 9. Minus 2 = 7.

Conforms to MDAS too.

2*2*2-(2/2) is still
2*2*2-2/2 without the parentheses and still works under MDAS.

Order of operations is important here. PEMDAS. multiply divide add subtract. 2/2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 7
